Our terroir, family & wine
Since 1984, the Savigneux family has produced wines of character in two wine appellations: Pessac-Léognan and Bordeaux. As part of a thoughtful approach to environmental quality, the 36 ha vineyard is managed by Charles and Stéphane, with the greatest respect for the terroir.
We invite you to discover our story and experience our wines at Château d´Eyran’scellar door.

Three properties
In 1984, Stéphane and Brigitte Savigneux settled on the family land in the village of St Médard-d’Eyrans. Then, they began to replant the vines of Château d’Eyran and Château Haut-L’Artigue.
They decided, 4 years later, to buy and live at Château Bastian, a 10 ha vineyard property 40 km further south.

Château d’Eyran 2018
«Nice tasting with this Pessac-Léognan wine, of a very dark red, powerful, of great complexity, with very silky tannins, a wine where everything is wonderfully melted, whose balance is perfect, extremely typical from Graves Pessac-Léognan , with hints of smoke, very complex aromas, really a very great wine.»

Château d’ Eyran Blanc 2019
«Remarkable Pessac-Léognan white, it is a beautiful bright pale gold, very balanced, with a lingering freshness, a classic wine that develops a powerful nose of ripe citrus fruits, with a good oak melted, dominated by a persistent aromatic power, intense palate where we find acacia and citrus fruits»
- Gold medal at the Elle à Table 2020 Wine Competition

Château Bastian Réserve 2018
« An enchanting nose of brambly red berry, juicy plum and hints of oak-derived spice greet the taster, followed through with a rich palate of ripe red and black fruit, overlaid by a touch of eau-de-vie, displaying vintage warmth. A solar year, but I like the balance.»
- Gold medal at the Concours des Vignerons Indépendants 2020
