History
Formerly a 14th century farmhouse of the Rivet Abbey, Château Bastian is a 35 hectare estate on the left bank of the Garonne River near Auros. Brigitte and Stéphane Savigneux have been owners of the Chateau since 1988 and now manage the vineyard, winemaking and marketing. Their son Charles recently joined them in 2015.

Sustainable viticultural practices, certified in Haute Valeur Environnementale Niveau 3 (High Environmental Value Level 3), hand harvesting, and traditional temperature controlled fermentation with frequent pump overs.

A 10 hectares vineyard located alongside a plateau.
Grape
50 % Merlot, 30% cabernet franc and 20% Cabernet sauvignon.
Cellaring
2 to 4 years.

Elegant bright and pure ruby colour. Generous plate, displaying fruity notes, well balanced tannins and a subtle spicy finish.
